Peshawar, Pakistan -- A suicide bomber demolished a mosque packed with hundreds of worshippers attending Friday prayers close to the Afghan border, killing at least 48 people and injuring scores more, officials said.
The attack in the Khyber region was the bloodiest in Pakistan this year and came hours before President Barack Obama was due to unveil a revised strategy expected to emphasize the need to eradicate militant havens along the Pakistan-Afghan frontier
LANDI KOTAL, Pakistan, March 27 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber killed at least 50 people when he blew himself up in a crowded Pakistani mosque near the Afghan border on Friday, government officials said.
The attack came hours before U.S. President Barack Obama was scheduled to announce a new strategy for the Afghan war, an approach U.S. officials said would also recognise Pakistan as a key part of the conflict.
Looks like praying is becoing dangerous in the Pakistani borders with Afghanistan. The problem of the suicide bombers is that they these people had become totally brainwashed. The problem at hand is to know how they have been brainwashed and working on it to stem it out.
